New River Electrical Corporation's Environmental Health and Safety Department invests time and resources in training employees on employee and environmental safety and health. The EHS department is also responsible for maintaining policies on diversity, inclusion, equity, modern-day slavery, labor practices, and community involvement.

New River Electrical Corporation partners with Greenplaces to track electricity and natural gas usage monthly. This insight allows us to identify inefficiencies and take action. We use this data as key performance indicators to track our environmental impact over time. 

New River Electrical Corporation partners with Greenplaces to calculate our Scope 1 and 2 Greenhouse Gas emissions. Greenplaces uses the Greenhouse Gas Protocol to evaluate the following categories of our business: Stationary Combustion, Mobile Combustion, Fugitive Emissions, Process Emissions, Emissions from Heating and Cooling, and Purchased Electricity (Market-based and Location-based). Gathering insight into the environmental impact of our operations allows us to ensure we are acting responsibly and making decisions with our climate health in mind.
